Amy had a great laugh on the way home the other day:

Helmut, Sorry you missed out on the fish coming up Hyde Creek. The bears are enjoying it and the locals too.

Mae and Amy are really enjoying each other.
See, they cuddle and laugh together.
with Halloween just around the corner, we got into our pumpkin chopping and created this beauty.
Over Thanksgiving we went out to Hope, and Mae did her first flower arrangement. Amy decided to crawl all over Mel as well.

Michael came over to play with Amy, she was a bit sceptical. Amy was powering around the house and found Mel's tampon box. Good fun.

Mae is really enjoying ringette. It is great to see her having so much fun. She came home all sweaty last weekend with a great big grin on her face. Loved it. Then we took this mug shot of Amy.
The other day we went to Andy and Silke's for a few drinks and Raglette. It was very yummy and funny.

Rosi and Helmut really enjoyed our trip to Vancouver Island. We saw lots of beautiful places and Buchart Garden's is definetly one of those.

A neat little place along the way is close to Cowichan Bay. It is a little shopping area with buildings from Duncan's old China town.

The Ferry is particularly stunning, a great sunrise and a cute little light house along the route.

Mae made a new friend in Victoria. He wasn't very responsive though.

Kinuseo Falls, Tumbler Ridge. These falls are taller than Niagra Falls, they are 60 metres tall. They are pretty cool, you can see all the spots on the camera from the water droplets, there was a constant mist from the falls. There is so much to see around Tumbler Ridge a person could spend days there hiking around and still not see everything.
Kinuseo Falls again, we had to basically scramble down the side to get down to the bottom. Much easier to get down than back up!
Looking down river from the top of the falls, people rent jet boats from Tumbler and come up the river, the best view of the falls is from the fork in the river which you need a boat to get to.
This was another fall that we walked to called Burbor Falls, it is in between Tumbler and Kinuseo Falls, it was not an advertised trail at all but we saw it in our book so we thought we would check it out, it was quite nice but we saw fresh bear poop right before we got there and we did not have the dogs with us and there were no other people for miles around so we didn't stay long! Hal grabbed this big stick to defend us!! I figured sing loud and get back to the car!

This is along the Sukunka forestry Road that we drove along to see the falls.
Here is a nice bear that we saw while driving on the forestry road, he didn't seem to care about us he just kept sauntering along...
This was two weekends ago on our trip to Tumbler Ridge (an hour from Dawson Creek).
Quality Falls on the way to Tumbler from Dawson, beautiful falls, I could have spent all day there, it was about a 1km hike off the highway, and on a beautiful fall day.
Hal looking down stream from the falls, there are another set of falls just downstream.
Just thought I would put some pictures on here showing a little bit of the local things we have been doing. These are of our trip to Sukunka Falls towards Chetwynd. We went there early this summer, they are down a forestry road, you hike down a little path in the bush to find them, it was pretty neat.
Of course the dogs came, Buddy and Briela! They had loads of fun.
This is at the very bottom of the series of the falls.

This was another fall on the same forestry road, it is called hole in the wall falls?? the water comes out of a hole at the bottom of the big rock face that you can see in the picture, I guess it is a hole in the wall! They weren't too creative with the name!
