Tammy visiting us in August with Ella and Hunter...

Thursday, September 15, 2005

Hey Ryan I tried that link, so here it is, hopefully it works! Anyways, not much new here, we had a nice visiter that stayed over last night, Troy Bissell. I had to be at the hospital unti l11pm so it worked out nice that Hal had some company. They were still having lots of fun when I got home so we had a nice visit, it was really good to see him. He only stayed for the one day, he is slowly making his rounds back to Kitwanga and then to Thailand to see Rory. Other than that Hal and I are both busy, school for me and work and school for Hal. It has been rainy here the last few days so not much fun. It is supposed to be nice this weekend so we are looking forward to that. Well time to go and get ready for supper. Next time we chat with you guys hopefully we will here more about Meli's new job, sounds fun and yummy. I am not sure how I would make out working in a place like that I like fresh bread and cinnamon buns too much.... I would end up looking like a bun before too long!
love you guys, hope to talk to you later,

So, we went back outside on Sunday afternoon to see if our little friend had survived the mistreatment I gave him . . . but he didn't. He was pretty much toast. We tried to wash the bug spray off him and Mae even cried because she didn't want him to kick the can but there wasn't a whole lot we could do for him. I promised Mae what the next time a monster killer attack spider like him came into the house I would simply chase him away with the broom. Mind you I am not quite sure how I am supposed to go about that. I guess I'll find a way . . . next time.

Meli has found work at Bowen Island Bakery here in Drummoyne which is great. They have a great policy for casual workers like her. If you are able then come on down, if not then thats fine too. They reserve the right not to use you and you reserve the right to not work. Fair for both sides. One of the guys that runs the place was in Vancouver when he learned to bake, hense the name of the coffee shop. They make some wicked bread so I hope that Meli can bring some with her every now and then.

My next bit of Uni is inching ever closer and I am looking at the amount of time that it will eat up and slowely freaking out. I hope that I will be able to manage all 3 things at the same time, Home, Work & School. I have a pretty strong feeling that home will be the loser here. It is for a pretty short period of time so I hope we all get through it alright without strangling each other.

Anyway, thats enough for me. Hope all is well with you.

So, we had a really interesting visit this morning from a large hairy visitor. He decided that it would be really nice to camp out in Meli & I's bedroom over night. At least some time this morning we found him up in the joint between the roof and wall. It was pretty scary but Meli was surprisingly composed. I thought she would flip out but she just wanted to help get him out of the house. Problem was, I didn't want to kill him, but I also didn't want him in the house. So what to do? I just sprayed him with bug spray and hoped it didn't kill him. It did slow him down enough that I could get him out of the house. Big fella though.
