Hey Ryan & fam. Lisa here... Hal had to work all weekend, they have been pretty busy lately, so I figured I would drop you a line. Things have been pretty good here, we discovered this pretty cool recreation park last night, it runs along a chain of lakes, lots of hiking trails, you can canoe around the lakes (with a bit of portaging) and we are pretty sure there are fish there, really nice and peaceful. It is only 10 minutes out of Spruce Grove, we will have to take you guys there next time. We have had company like crazy lately. We had Grandma and Grandpa Hobenshield stay with us for the weekend. Had a great time, they told us lots of stories, the two of them are so funny! Then my dad's Harley broke down so he had to spend the next night with us, then my buddy Lindsay and her friend from Vancouver called and said they were planning on coming in a few days and then called the next day to say they decided to just drive and they were supposed to be there that night! I had a final the next morning so Hal got to entertain some cute girls, I am sure he didn't mind. They stayed for about 4 days. We are actually surprised we have no company this weekend. So next weekend we are meeting mom and dad hobs and Earl and Tammy in Valemont and camping for the long weekend. We are really looking forward to it. We haven't seen Earl since the wedding. It should be fun. Too bad you guys didn't live closer.... Anyways, I have a few more pictures that I was going to send you but I will post them on here. I didn't know if that is what I should do, if I should post them somewhere else just let me know, there is only a few so this way should be fine this time, hope you guys "had" a good weekend (it is already monday there) and hopefully we will talk to you soon, give a big sqeeze to the girls for us.

Caffiene is a cruel master!!

It has me under it's evil thumb. I don't really have a choice I just have to always have a cuppa. I was up to 6 really big mugs (ca. 400ml) a day and that isn't nice. You get the shakes, irritiblness, it burns you out. But she's got me hooked, there's no fighting it. I am 100% an addict. Just working on fighting my way back to 2 cups a day. It's 3.00pm now and I've had 3, I think I just might manage to not have any more. Mind you my eyes keep falling shut so what is that all about? I have enough caffiene to keep an elephant erect for a day and I can't even keep my eyes open. Got heaps of sleep, Meli didn't keep me up into the wee hours looking for any funny stuff so I should be top fit.

Off to Katoomba for a meeting this week. Should be cool (read cold). The hotel we are staying in is beautiful and the meetings shouldn't be too stressful. http://www.luxurydownunder.com.au I've stayed in this hotel before, it has 2 pools, a great snooker table and some really cool rooms. I'll let you know how it goes when I get access to the internet again.

Meli asked Carmin yesterday if she would like to have our Frequent flyer points so that she can fly down for holidays. I think that would be really great. Meli and Carmin are the origional Thelma & Louise. They are virtually inseperable, I really hope she takes the offer up. She would be coming down in November which would be the most busy time that I have coming and Meli & Mae would be left all alone so the extra company is welcome.

So my first night of sleeping-in since 4 weeks came and went. I got my 8 hours sleep and it was great.

So Meli put out a monster mail the otherday (in German) which everyone and his dog got exept obviously the english speaking community. I could publish it here as well but really it wouldn't do any good unless Meli decided to give everyone access to our web page. I'll have to chat with her. Next step: links
